At the second joint
meeting of the project partners called Joint Staff Training Event
(acronym JSSTE), the participants went back to České Budejovice, the
Czech Republic, from 26th November to 2nd December 2017.
The
morning program of the first day was filled in the presentation of
templates on the realms of the Czech Republic. In the afternoon, the
participants were acquainted with Czech Christmas traditions and were
given the opportunity to try to make traditional potato salad, uncooked
candy, bake Christmas twist cake, decorate Christmas tree or taste fried
carp. A teachers´team from the Czech Republic taught their colleagues a
traditional Christmas carol, and some of them tried out the original
Christmas customs, such as lead smelting or floating nutshells with a
burning candle in a bowl of water. The festive good mood of everyone was
enhanced by the tasting of traditional mulled wine and Christmas punch.
During the evening the participants had opportunity to visit the
traditional Christmas market in the historic square where they had the
unique occassion to see and buy traditional Christmas products,
decorations, ceramics, taste sweet pastries and traditional dishes.
After joint diner and a tour of the family brewery in the restaurant,
all parter teams learned separately the lyrics and the melody of the
famous Czech carol and they sang it in common.
Tuesday morning the
program was aimed at visiting selected departments of the České
Budějovice hospital (neonatology and cardiology and AR dep.). After
joint lunch the partners again moved to school where another series of
templates was presented.
On Wednesday in the
morning, the teams separately proposed and devised the stories which
they made the video from. The content of the original stories they
analyzed and discussed together. Each partner team has selected three
public topics and other three health ones. Excursion to the Budvar
brewery was a part of the afternoon program. In the evening, those who
were interested in, could visit the local ice hockey match in Budvar
Arena.
Workshops included
distionary creation were the main content of Thursday morning. After
lunch the teams discussed and worked on the dictionary content and they
summarized the results of workshops. All the teams went to the tour of
the historical and picturesque town of Český Krumlov, the sightseeing
tour ended with a common dinner.
Last day, on Friday,
the partner teams received information on the financial issues of the
project and info concerning a planned meeting in Israel, January 2018. A
short linguistic course of Czech language became the insert of a last
day program. Europasses have been exposed to the partners after the
final evaluation.
